Water Conveyance Engineering Expert

The position of Principal Civil Engineer - Water Pipelines is open to qualified applicants who are passionate about designing and delivering smart, resilient water management solutions. As a key member of our national water business, you will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions that meet their expectations.

Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring teams, developing and implementing engineering work packages, and ensuring that services meet client expectations. The successful candidate will have expertise in various aspects of civil engineering, including study involvement, budgeting, scheduling, and construction/commissioning phase support. They will also be experienced in scoping and development of engineering work packages, including time-based estimates for deliverables.

In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor teams to deliver engineering projects and services to clients
  • Develop and implement engineering work packages, including scoping and budgeting
  • Ensure that services meet client expectations through regular communication and project monitoring
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative solutions and share best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging trends in water management and civil engineering

Requirements:

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in water and wastewater design, including conveyance pipelines, hydraulic structures, pump stations, and water facilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients
