Job Overview

The Business Analyst role plays a pivotal part in driving long-term sustainable improvements across technology, information processes and people within the Transformation Office.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to elicit document and validate business requirements processes and data needs through workshops and structured engagement.
  • Translate business needs into clear actionable outcomes and technical specifications that guide solution design and delivery.
  • Conduct current state assessments and develop future state models including operating models workflows and process maps to identify and articulate opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform gap analyses between current and future states to support strategic decision-making and transformation planning.
  • Contribute to business case development by supporting cost-benefit analyses risk assessments and value propositions that underpin investment decisions.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of business outcomes including data migration integration and reporting requirements.
  • Support change initiatives through impact analysis documentation implementation planning and ongoing monitoring of business outcomes and benefits.

This role requires National Police Clearance and Australian Defence Security Clearance to Baseline level.

About You
  • Proven analytical problem-solving skills with experience navigating complex environments and driving meaningful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify analyse and document business requirements process improvements and the impact of change.
  • Skilled in process mapping redesign and modelling across diverse business functions within large organisations.
  • Strong data literacy with ability to interpret patterns and behaviours to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Excellent facilitation stakeholder engagement skills with ability to lead workshops and collaborate across all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and process management tools with sound understanding of agile and waterfall delivery methods.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business IT Project Management Engineering or related field certifications in Agile or Business Analysis desirable.
  • Highly self-motivated adaptable emotionally intelligent with ability to manage competing priorities and build strong relationships.
