Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operational Excellence to oversee the operations, triage service delivery, and resources of our client services team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective delivery of client and laboratory services, improving operational systems, processes, and policies in support of our operations, managing human resources, financial information, and physical resources, and preparing reports for various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to improve business outcomes and drive innovation.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure optimal use of available funds.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience managing scientific laboratories with broad knowledge of relevant scientific disciplines.
  • Proven track record of delivering quality-assured laboratory, technical, and/or operational support services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Ability to prepare reports and use ICT applications such as databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize areas for improvement.
