We're seeking a skilled Sales and Service Representative to join our team at Haymes Paint. As a key member of our sales team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, providing product solutions, and maintaining high visual merchandising standards in our Launceston store.

With a rich history dating back to 1935, Haymes Paint has evolved into Australia's largest manufacturer of premium paints, finishes, and protective coatings. As a Sales and Service Representative, you'll be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, respect, and a passion for delivering outstanding results.

This is a part-time position working across a rotating roster in our 6-day a week trading store (Monday - Saturday). Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert service, advice, and product solutions to both trade and retail customers
  • Tinting paint products to customer requirements
  • Inventory control and stock management
  • Processing orders in-store and by phone
  • Replenishing stock, including 15L paint drums
  • Building strong relationships with repeat customers and colleagues
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest colour forecasts and product releases
  • Supporting visual displays, store presentation, and housekeeping
  • Ensuring compliance with safe work practices

About You:

  • A valid driver's license for local deliveries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine desire to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience with stock handling and merchandising
  • Ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting 15L cans of paint
  • Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems or similar technology
  • Numeracy skills for processing transactions and understanding tint percentages
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
