Engineering Manager Job Description

Leading a maintenance and engineering team on a remote operation in South Australia, this role requires a seasoned professional to oversee the delivery of sound maintenance, engineering, and project management. Key objectives include ensuring assets are constructed, maintained, and improved to achieve medium and long-term plant reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the maintenance team, providing technical guidance and direction to meet company standards and objectives in a cost-effective manner
  • Guide technical teams in problem-solving and decision-making using maintenance, engineering, and project knowledge
  • Drive engineering effectiveness through quality deliverables, performance management, safety, and sustainability reviews
  • Review designs considering design, construction, operation, and maintenance requirements and practices

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading maintenance and engineering teams on remote operations
  • Formal qualifications in engineering or mechanical/electrical trades with senior-level experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in mining & resources
  • In-depth understanding of maintenance aspects of the Mines Act and Regulations as well as relevant technical standards and regulatory frameworks
