Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance activities on remote civil and mining projects in the Northern Territory. They will lead a team to ensure safe and cost-effective maintenance practices, promoting a safety culture and industry leadership.
About the Role- This is a site-based workshop role that reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and Project Manager.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising maintenance activities, managing resources to meet maintenance schedules, driving operational efficiencies, providing leadership and supervision through presence, guidance, and feedback, motivating team members towards goals, conducting employee performance appraisals and developing improvement plans, resolving crew problems and conflicts, and performing servicing, repairs, and maintenance of mobile plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and promote a safety culture and industry leadership;
- Manage resources to meet maintenance schedules;
- Drive operational efficiencies;
- Provide leadership and supervision through presence, guidance, and feedback;
- Motivate team members towards goals;
- Conduct employee performance appraisals and develop improvement plans;
- Resolve crew problems and conflicts;
- Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance of mobile plant equipment.
- Heavy Diesel Fitter Trade qualification;
- Current driver's license;
- Experience in supervisory or management roles;
- Experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi mobile equipment;
- Experience with Kenworth and Mack Trucks and ancillary gear;
- Understanding of civil/mining mobile plant and crushing operations;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance systems like MEX;
- Strong planning, time management, and prioritization skills;
- Effective communication skills for liaising with employees, clients, and suppliers;
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude;
- Willingness to work in remote locations;
- Hands-on approach.
