First Aid Officer

The First Aid Officer is responsible for providing first aid and basic health care to students and staff, as well as managing the school's first aid supplies and policies. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing first aid and basic health care to students and staff
  • Managing first aid supplies and policies
  • Recording sick bay visits and communicating with parents/carers when necessary
  • Liaising with parents and medical professionals regarding student medication
  • Maintaining school compliance in areas of health documentation and record keeping
  • Assisting in organisation and provision of training for staff in CPR, Anaphylaxis, Asthma and Provide First Aid
  • Supporting front desk duties as required, answering phone calls and assisting parents and staff

Qualifications and Skills:

  • HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • Course in Verifying the Correct Use of Adrenaline Injector Devices (optional)
  • Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace (optional)

Who May Apply:

Applicants must hold current certification in HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid. Preference may be given to candidates with experience in a similar role or who have completed relevant courses such as Course in Verifying the Correct Use of Adrenaline Injector Devices and Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace.
