Job Title

A skilled Trajectory Analyst is needed to work with our team in finding innovative solutions to complex problems in launch vehicle trajectories and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze vehicle performance in the presence of faults
  • Finding creative flight plan solutions to meet mission objectives while maintaining safe operation
  • Generate and submit safety deliverables
  • Produce and present trajectory analysis products for internal and external partners
  • Interface with various teams including operations, reliability, hardware, and regulatory partners
  • Investigate vehicle systems to inform design, architecture, and methodologies
  • Develop and evaluate flight termination system mission rules
  • Support launch and mission operations of vehicles
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in physics or an engineering discipline
  • Experience with orbital mechanics, classical dynamics, modeling, and simulation
  • Proficiency in software languages Python or C++
Preferred Skills:
  • 1+ year of experience in trajectory analysis and aerodynamics
  • Demonstrated project or professional experience in launch vehicle and/or spacecraft systems
  • Skill in solving complex problems with little supervision on schedule as an individual or team member
  • Knowledge of system trades and how requirements tie hardware to larger systems
  • Passion for advancing the commercial space industry and human spaceflight
