Regional Project Manager

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage project engineering functions throughout Australia and New Zealand.
The ideal candidate will partner with site leaders to maintain operational excellence, providing expert design and implementation of engineering enhancements. This position will facilitate a culture of continuous improvement within the regional engineering group, developing engineers in maintaining a uniform engineering project management system across all ANZ plants.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide engineering expertise to manufacturing sites within the ANZ region
- Offer essential engineering services through modification to plant equipment and processes to meet changed/additional production needs in safety, manufacturing, process development, quality assurance and regulatory compliance
- Certify and improve regulatory compliance regarding process safety, work health and Safety-MHF legislation and Quality systems
- Ensure environmental regulations are met, identifying and implementing environmental protection opportunities through operation-wide engineering improvements/alterations
- Analyze site productivity to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
- Control engineering and capital costs of projects
- Assist Site Leaders in preparation of CAPEX budgets and site development programs
- Evaluate project work based on sound design, completed to agreed budgets and time constraints
- Implement best practice benchmarking in engineering practices and projects
- Work with other Hexion functions locally and globally to identify risk reduction projects
- Degree qualified in Engineering with 15+ years of Chemical Industry experience and at least 3+ years' experience in senior/principle project management roles across multiple engineering disciplines
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills
- Minimum CAPEX experience range of $1MM to $20MM AUD required
- Strong reporting and project presentation skills
- Good understanding of fundamental CAPEX decision financial tools and principals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to promote concepts of teamwork
- Expertise in technical and problem-solving abilities
- SAP user skills and proficient with MS Office Suite
