Regional Planning Project Manager

This is a key role in the Environmental Planning and Emergency Recovery team where you will manage and deliver planning projects.

The successful candidate will work across rural and regional Victoria to coordinate and administer procurement, funding and resource assistance to support regional councils to implement Flood-related planning controls.

The Regional Projects team requires a skilled Planner to provide planning and project management services to support the delivery and implementation of the Regional Flood-related Amendments Assistance Program.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide planning and project management services to support the delivery and implementation of the Regional Flood-related Amendments Assistance Program.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and administer procurement, funding and resource assistance to support regional councils to implement Flood-related planning controls.
  • Represent or support the team at unit, division or group level management meetings and other forums where appropriate.
  • Develop effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, gain cooperation, and influence views on complex, contentious and sensitive matters within established parameters.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management and coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of planning and environmental laws and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
