Job Title: Senior Project Development Manager

Western Renewables Link Senior Project Manager

As a Senior Project Development Manager at AusNet Services, you will play a key role in managing the design and delivery input to the environmental planning approvals process to optimize outcomes within existing planning guidelines.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Planning and Environmental team and Stakeholder teams to meet with planning, regulatory, and industry bodies and other key stakeholders to obtain and maintain support for the project.
  • Work with internal and external technical teams, and AEMO, to oversee design scope change requests and stage gating, identifying, documenting, and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Consult and inform key internal stakeholders, including all project streams, Commercial, Project Finance, and Legal, to ensure that project priorities are achieved and deadlines are met.
  • Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders and management, tracking against project plans, and developing required input to management papers, Board papers, and commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure all commercial, regulatory, and contractual obligations are met, including Health, Safety & Environment, landowner agreements, planning consents, and insurance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through post-implementation evaluation and assessment of results against project plans, actively collaborating to share insights and wins with others.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in Project Management in Infrastructure or Energy, with Planning and Approval experience a bonus.
  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering is preferred.
  • A high level of organizational skills and demonstrated effectiveness handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, managing timeframes, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • A strong motivated communicator with a strong degree of EQ to liaise with diverse stakeholder groups, thinking and acting quickly.
  • Strong writing and editing skills and comfort working across different media, including presentations, correspondence, and email.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with high attention to detail and a focus on compliance.
  • Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary internal and external resources.
