AusNet Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Development Manager to lead our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) initiatives. As a key member of our Storage Division, Distributed Energy, Development & Future Networks team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of BESS projects across Victoria and NSW.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of BESS projects, from early assessment to commercial close
  • Manage a team of Project Development Managers and/or Assistant Project Development Managers
  • Develop and implement fit-for-purpose standards and specifications for the Energy Storage portfolio
  • Provide leadership in developing sound relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • Manage, track, and report on the progress of assigned projects through to financial close
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management or Engineering
  • Experience in project management in energy storage, major projects, renewables, or a similar utilities/energy industry
  • Leadership/senior project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Commercial acumen and ability to understand commercial impacts on the business
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
