As a Department Manager, you play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of your department. You will be responsible for ensuring that the store is exceptionally presented, welcoming and engaging for our customers, team members and the local community.

About the Role:

You will report to the Dairy Manager and have full accountability for the management of your department. Your primary focus will be on leading, coaching and developing your team to achieve sales targets, cost control and rostering requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team to deliver exceptional results
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales performance and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain excellent department standards, including disciplined stock rotation routines
  • Inspire customers through presentation, merchandising and stock management
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve any customer complaints promptly and professionally

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Direct/Indirect leadership experience, including coaching and developing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Hours:

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a rotating shift pattern, including mornings, afternoons and weekends.
