Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Highways Team Lead to spearhead project execution in our South-East Queensland offices. As a key member of AECOM's Highways Team, you will be responsible for guiding a dynamic group of professionals on complex, region-shaping projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead our Highways Team culture, performance, client relationships, contractor relationships, and project delivery across our South-East Queensland offices.
  • Work with an industry leading team on a broad range of city-shaping transport infrastructure projects, including some of Queensland's largest road and public transport projects.
  • Influence and lead strategy development and execution to achieve business success.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration with our multidisciplinary teams.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, customers, and partners.
  • Lead change and productivity as we continue our digital delivery journey.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering suitable to hold (or obtain) RPEQ status in Queensland, ideally with 15 years + relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing major transport infrastructure projects in a highways design capacity and meeting delivery requirements.
  • Knowledge of the market for consulting services in Queensland to support the positioning and winning of projects, including Business Cases, design only contract development, D&C and ETI delivery.
  • An effective leader with tenacity and drive to achieve outstanding results, grow the team, and balance priorities.
  • Strong client focus and relationships, with business development experience and demonstrated commercial acumen.
  • Understanding of consulting resourcing planning and forecasting.
  • Flexibility to be present across our Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and Gold Coast offices to develop client relationships, mentor staff, and build team rapport.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. This figure is based on industry standards for senior leadership positions in South-East Queensland.
