Director of Transportation Operations

As a visionary leader, you will be responsible for spearheading the Palletised Express division, driving results and shaping the future of our business.
Key aspects of this role include leading linehaul, depot operations, customer experience, and commercial performance. You will develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability, while overseeing profit and loss management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
A successful candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, IT, Human Resources, and Network Planning. They will build and lead a high-performing team with a focus on development, accountability, and results.
Additionally, they will ensure full compliance with national transport regulations and champion a culture of safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a senior leadership role within freight, transport, or logistics, ideally with palletised freight or express transport exposure. They will demonstrate strong understanding of national transport networks, cost structures, and operational levers, as well as commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth and improving margins.
