About The Position

Official Visitors work to resolve enquiries and complaints made by young people in custody, assist in monitoring the conditions and treatment of young people in custodial centres throughout New South Wales (NSW).

Main Responsibilities
  • Visit youth justice centres once a fortnight for up to four years
  • Resolve enquiries and complaints made by young people in custody
Requirements
  • Reference checks
  • National Criminal History Record Check clearance in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
  • Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
