Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Lead to join our team at Woolworths Group. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for implementing effective risk management processes to ensure SIWE risks are identified and mitigated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct first line of defence audits and support the close out of any gaps in our SIWE governance program.
  • Partner with the Operational and SIWE team members to drive change and deliver Primary Connect's strategic objectives.
  • Promote safety values and implement safety, health and environment policies and systems to embed safety into our culture and ways of working.
  • Build and promote a team environment focused on working collaboratively to achieve team and DC objectives.
  • Adhere to and enforce compliance with all legal obligations and requirements.

Requirements

  • Sound experience and working knowledge of safety legislation, codes of practice and standards.
  • Experience with the development of documentation, such as work instructions, SOPs and processes.
  • Good analysis and problem solving skills, including analysing trends and numerical skills.
  • Experience working within a hands-on Safety role.
  • Diploma or equivalent formal qualifications in WHS or related.
