About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Manager to join our team at Agri Talent. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a crucial role in implementing our client's health and safety strategy and safety initiatives across their Riverland region's Farm and Packhouse operations.

Reporting directly to the Divisional Manager, you will oversee safety compliance systems to further strengthen our client's safety culture. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with managers and supervisors to influence a safe and healthy working environment
  • Maintaining training schedules and coordinating company-wide safety training material/systems
  • Overseeing the management of incident and hazard reporting – reviewing, supporting, investigating and monitoring reports
  • Developing WHS-related systems and processes and executing audits according to agreed timelines
  • Coordinating return-to-work processes, providing support to injured workers and associated managers to ensure a safe return-to-work environment

About You

We are looking for a collaborative and practical individual who can work with diverse groups and remote sites to develop safety and well-being strategies to influence safety culture. You will utilise your continual improvement & innovation skills to employ creative thinking techniques to improve current practices whilst identifying other areas of improvement.

To be considered for the role, you must have:

  • Minimum one year of experience in safety management systems
  • Similar experience in farming, processing or manufacturing
  • Knowledge of relevant safety legislation and codes
  • Demonstrated experience in change management of WHS practices
  • Exposure to Risk Management
