In line with our expansion, we are looking for a proficient and knowledgeable Licensed Customs Broker to become a vital part of our energetic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main contact for all customs-related inquiries, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and laws.
  • Prepare and file customs documentation, including import/export declarations, tariff classifications, and duty assessments.
  • Collaborate with government entities, freight forwarders, and shipping companies to ensure timely clearance of goods.
  • Offer guidance and assistance to internal teams regarding customs processes, regulations, and requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in customs legislation and policies, implementing necessary adjustments to internal practices.
  • Address customs-related challenges and discrepancies, working with cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions.
  • Maintain precise records of customs activities and transactions, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • Essential: Licensed Customs Broker accreditation.
  • Demonstrated experience in customs clearance and compliance within the retail or logistics sectors.
  • Strong understanding of customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting complex customs documentation.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in relevant customs software and systems (Cargowise preferred).
