Job Title

A unique and challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team at Rosebery Mine in Tasmania.

This is a fantastic chance to work with a leading mining company, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of our fixed plant equipment. As a Mechanical Tradesperson, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various plant systems, including crushing, grinding, flotation, and filtration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks and activities in accordance with planned maintenance schedules;
  • Identifying and resolving faults in plant equipment;
  • Collaborating with other teams to implement improvements to plant operations, safety, and maintenance procedures;
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules to minimize process variation and ensure customer requirements are met;
  • Providing technical support to other tradespeople and operators as required;
  • Participating in plant outages and shutdowns to perform scheduled maintenance and repairs.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in mechanical fitting and experience working in a mining or heavy industrial environment. You should also possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based setting.
