Compassionate Caregiver Needed

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our Home Care team for the West Moreton and Scenic Rim Region. As a caregiver, you will provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, and toileting.

You will assist clients with medication management in accordance with care plans and organizational policies, offer domestic support, including meal preparation and household tasks, facilitate social engagement through transport and companionship, and monitor and report changes in clients' health to the Service Coordinator or Registered Nurse.

Maintain accurate documentation and participate in care plan reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, and toileting
  • Assist clients with medication management in accordance with care plans and organizational policies
  • Offer domestic support, including meal preparation and household tasks
  • Facilitate social engagement through transport and companionship
  • Monitor and report changes in clients' health to the Service Coordinator or Registered Nurse
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in care plan reviews

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
  • Completion of HLTHPS006 - Assist Clients with Medication, HLTAAP001 - Recognise Healthy Body Systems, and CHCCCS031 - Provide Individualised Support
  • Current and up-to-date First Aid and CPR certifications
  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in a direct care role (desirable)
  • A current driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle that is suitable to be used for work purposes
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Possess a Current National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain
