Job Description

As the Digitisation Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of professionals to deliver high-quality digitisation and digital preservation services.

This includes storing, managing, making accessible, and preserving the rich collections of the institution.

You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation to optimise digitisation processes and establish a digitisation centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, develop, and launch efficient digitisation systems and processes that support core functions in learning, teaching, and research.
  • Drive planning, designing, developing, and launching efficient digitisation systems and processes which support the Library's core functions in supporting learning, teaching, and research.
  • Utilising your experience in motivating and developing a high-performance team, provide leadership to the Digitisation Team in delivering high-level professional services and effective achievement of the Library's priorities at both strategic and operational levels.

Lead the development of policies and procedures related to digitisation and digital preservation. Ensure that these align with organisational goals and objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Stakeholders include External Relations, Development and Alumni, eSolutions, Archives, and the Monash Museum of Modern Art.

Optimise digitisation processes to meet evolving needs and priorities.

Report directly to the Manager, Digitisation and Collection Management.

Work alongside leaders across the Library to support the Director, Collections and Technology Division in delivering the University Library's strategy and operations.
