Job Title: Experienced Day Surgery Nurse

We are looking for an experienced Day Surgery Nurse to join our team on a permanent part-time basis, working 24 hours a week with Saturday morning availability preferred.

Job Description:
As a Day Surgery Nurse, your duties will include;
  • Patient admission and pre-operative preparation
  • Assisting doctors with treatment in the procedure room
  • Providing safe and effective recovery care to patients, escalating for clinical review as necessary
  • Patient discharge - assessment of readiness and issue of post-operative instructions and medications
  • Safe handling and management of specimens, medications, antibiotics, and blood products

Required Skills and Qualifications:
This role is ideal for an experienced Day Surgery Nurse seeking a part-time opportunity. You will bring your strong clinical experience and exceptional commitment to patient care to this role. Your qualifications should ideally include;
  • Scrub and scout experience
  • Focused on customer service and patient care
  • Registered Nurse or Midwife with AHPRA (mandatory)
  • Working with Children's Check (mandatory)
  • Experience in nursing areas such as midwifery, reproductive health, and infertility (preferable)
