Experienced Day Surgery Professional Wanted

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Day Surgery Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical staff in the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Admission and Screening: Ensure all patients undergo thorough admission and screening processes to identify any potential health risks or concerns.
- Pre-Operative Preparation: Prepare patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments, administering medications, and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Assisting Medical Staff: Support medical staff during procedures by maintaining a safe and efficient environment, handling specimens and equipment as needed, and communicating effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Patient Recovery and Discharge: Provide post-operative care to patients, monitor their recovery, and facilitate their safe discharge from the facility.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with AHPRA.
- Strong clinical experience in day surgery or related fields.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compliance with relevant legislation and regulations regarding patient confidentiality and data protection.
