About the Role:

As a Procurement Advisor, you will be responsible for providing procurement advisory support to the department via review of procurement matters, ensuring adherence to Commonwealth Procurement Rules and relevant policy and guidelines. You will work collaboratively with a highly skilled team to support the progression of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide procurement guidance and advice to line areas on complex procurement, contract management and probity matters in accordance with Government legislation and policy.
  • Track, prioritize and allocate procurement reviews within the Corporate Procurement Team to ensure critical deadlines are being met.
  • Triage contract management and procurement matters that require escalation for legal advice, and/or opinion.
  • Manage the development and continuous improvement of procurement policies and processes in consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with internal teams, business stakeholders and external entities to continue to shape the overall delivery of services.
  • Manage mandatory reporting obligations including Senate Order, Indigenous Procurement, AusTender, and annual report.
  • Assist the Director, Procurement as required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a baseline clearance is a requirement for this role.
