We are seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our team at BaptistCare William Carey Court in Busselton. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality meals and excellent customer service to our residents.
Our kitchen is committed to delivering delicious and nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents. We pride ourselves on using only the freshest ingredients and adhering to strict food safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a commercial kitchen, with strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, and assisting with food presentation and plating.
You will also be required to work closely with our chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless meal preparation and service. If you are a team player who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals to the highest standard, using fresh and seasonal ingredients
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to strict food safety standards
- Assist with food presentation and plating, ensuring dishes are visually appealing and appetizing
- Work closely with our chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless meal preparation and service
Requirements:
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a residential care setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to lift up to 20kg and stand for long periods
- Cert III in Cookery or Hospitality (desirable but not essential)
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience
