The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team as a Workshop Supervisor at our Adelaide branch. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will plan, organize, and supervise workshop operations to meet customer requirements while working closely with the team to achieve department goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain efficient work schedules to optimize equipment and resource utilization.
  2. Enable and motivate workshop technicians and apprentices to excel in their roles while prioritizing safety.
  3. Effectively allocate resources and labour for timely service delivery and high-quality results.
  4. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate total customer satisfaction in machine performance, product, workmanship, and warranty.
  5. Ensure HCA employees and contractors comply with all WHS responsibilities and maintain a safe work environment.
  6. Manage Workshop Work Orders – Cost control and process improvement.

Requirements:

  • Relevant diesel or mobile plant mechanic trade qualifications.
  • Similar supervisory experience with strong leadership skills and ability to get the team to work cohesively.
  • Demonstrated safety focus with a strong understanding of WHS principles.
  • Experience in the maintenance of earthmoving equipment (Hitachi exposure an advantage).
  • Excellent time management with multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to use initiative to contribute to continuous improvement and drive change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to inform stakeholders of work progress.
