Role Overview

This role is an opportunity to leverage your clinical orthoptic skills to make a positive impact on Australians affected by glaucoma.

As an Orthoptist Educator, you will play a pivotal role in managing our patient support program. Your responsibilities will include providing guidance and education to individuals with glaucoma, empowering them to manage their condition effectively and preserve their sight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive support to individuals with glaucoma, including prompt response to enquiries and regular follow-ups
  • Moderate online communities to ensure a safe and supportive environment
  • Support team members for live educational events
  • Provide pre-sale and post-sale education and support regarding relevant eye health products
  • Coordinate training and support for volunteers and students
  • Represent the organization at industry events and conferences
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical orthoptics
  • Registered with the Australian Orthoptic Board
  • Demonstrated ability to provide educational guidance and support to individuals with glaucoma
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
