
Chief Category Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Category Specialist to join our team and drive strategic category management plans across our organisation. This role will focus on Digital and Technology category management planning and implementation to support existing infrastructure and new technology adoption.
- You will partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure alignment between sourcing strategies and organisational goals throughout the contract lifecycle.
- You will monitor and report on supplier performance against established key performance indicators (KPIs) and take proactive measures to address identified issues.
- You will prepare reports and presentations to stakeholders to provide category management insights and inform future strategic plans.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing category management plans to achieve strategic objectives.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Facilitating cross-functional team engagement and high-level negotiation skills.
- Identifying and mitigating risks within the supply chain and procurement processes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree or direct equivalent experience in Law, Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing supply and services contracts as well as Panel Agreements.
- Demonstrated experience in category management, contracts, and procurement.
