Job Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate educator to join our team at Riverview. As a teacher in our values-led school, you will have the opportunity to create meaningful learning experiences for students with diverse needs.
Salary & Conditions:
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $95,000 per year, above the Education Services Teacher Award, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the Role:
This is a chance to be part of a caring, mission-driven team that values compassion, innovation, and collaboration. You will teach and mentor young learners in an engaging, dynamic environment designed to bring out the best in each individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and Inspire: Plan and deliver creative, cross-disciplinary programs for multi-age classes, making each day impactful and enjoyable.
- Tailor Learning: Adapt teaching approaches to fit the unique abilities and goals of each student, supporting them in reaching their full potential.
- Trauma-Aware Practices: Incorporate trauma-informed methods to provide a safe, inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and understood.
- Continuous Improvement: Reflect on and refine your teaching and assessment methods, ensuring the best outcomes for students.
Requirements:
- Teaching Registration: Current full or provisional registration with the Queensland College of Teachers, with eligibility for full registration.
- Vocational Training Certification: TAE 40116 Certificate IV in Assessment and Training to deliver Nationally Accredited Vocational Certificates (preferable).
- Trauma Awareness: Experience in trauma-informed educational practices to support students who may have complex backgrounds.
- Experience with Special Assistance Schools: A background in alternative educational settings and an understanding of flexible learning and differentiation for students who have experienced challenges.
