Job Description

At the Department of Health, our focus is on shaping the Victorian health system to meet the diverse needs of all Victorians.

The role of Principal Policy Adviser (PPA) will drive strategic planning, including financial and operational sustainability of the AOD system. This position will engage extensively in co-design and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including individuals with lived experience.

This leadership role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. The PPA will provide high-quality business intelligence, authoritative advice, and informed policy recommendations to senior management and government.

The key responsibilities of this role include leading system planning, providing expert advice, developing open communication strategies, and representing the department on key committees and bodies.
