The Role

As an Operations Supervisor at Auto Parts Group, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our dispatch team. Your primary objective will be to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and effectively, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Main Responsibilities

  • Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders in a timely manner
  • Managing inventory levels, assets, and returns
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles as required
  • Supporting the Warehouse Management team in daily operations and guiding the team to achieve business targets
  • Controlling pick allocation work on the computer system
  • Providing line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, and ensuring they deliver results while meeting KPI targets and quality standards
  • Developing the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, while fostering a culture of working safely
  • Complying with all company policies, guidelines, directions, and QA practices, and ensuring the team is trained accordingly
  • Working closely with the Dispatch Supervisor to ensure the team operates at optimal capacity
  • Actively participating in picking, packing, or when workload dictates
  • Managing site security when required
  • Working an afternoon shift schedule

About You

We are seeking someone with the right attitude, ability to adapt quickly, think on their feet, communicate efficiently, and work well within a team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A good understanding of ERP systems
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing and diverse environment
  • Prior experience as a Team Leader or similar role
  • Demonstrated background in people supervision in an operational environment
  • Knowledge or practical experience with Health Safety & Environment (HSE) practices and legislation
  • Highly developed problem-solving capability complemented by an authentic and passionate customer-centric approach
  • Excellent communication skills to build great relationships
  • Forklift License

Salary

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience
