Operations Manager Job Description">

At our organization, we believe in the power of collaboration and innovation to shape the future of logistics. As an Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing key aspects of our operations.

  • Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring commitment to safety, chain of responsibility, and quality requirements.
  • Provide operational leadership with responsibility for ensuring service delivery is in line with contractual requirements.
  • Effectively manage and develop direct reports, operational teams, and subcontractor partners to provide efficiency and drive improvement across the network.
  • Proactively manage customer relationships, facilitating growth through new customer integration and organic growth of existing accounts.
  • Effectively analyse equipment and operational tasks to deliver productive outcomes through resource utilisation, route optimisation, and subcontractor management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote continuous improvement and safety compliance.

This is an operational leadership role requiring a manager with experience within the transport industry. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience providing leadership and effective operational decision-making within a complex supply chain environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in an operational leadership role within the transport/logistics industry.
  • Prior experience with rail operations.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement with an ability to build strong relationships across all levels and effectively implement and manage supply contracts.
  • Ability to confidently lead, drive outcomes, and develop diverse high-performance teams.
  • Understanding of operational drivers, cost control, and operational budgeting.
  • Process-driven, analytical, and methodical with a passion to drive continuous improvement.
