Warehouse Assistant

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for receiving, handling and packing stock. You will also unload incoming furniture trucks using material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack) and move items within the depot.

Additionally, you will assemble flat pack furniture in the warehouse efficiently and effectively, maintaining workplace cleanliness and safety. You will prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).

You will pick and pack parts for internal and external customers, inspect furniture for proper operability according to manufacturer's guidelines, and interact daily with customers, division furniture staff, and furniture operations management.

Furthermore, you will maintain an efficient two-day turn-around on all furniture repair service calls and complete required furniture service/repair paperwork (warranty or non-warranty). You will keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree (preferred)
  • 1 year experience in forklift operation, warehouse management, order fulfilment, delivery driving, heavy lifting
  • Australian Driver's license (preferred)
  • Forklift certification (required)
  • Work authorization for Australia (required)
