Job Title:

Asset Finance Specialist


About the Role:

This position is responsible for providing high-level technical and financial support in the implementation of asset management across Council.


  • Support the delivery of strategic asset planning by maintaining accurate financial records and systems related to capital works and asset revaluations.
  • Perform end-of-year asset financial activities and ensure timely reconciliation of transactions within the Asset Management System.
  • Access and analyze data across asset and finance systems to support reporting, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with the completion and financial closure of capital works projects, ensuring compliance with internal processes and timelines.

Key qualifications include budget management, financial reporting, job costing, and asset accounting. The successful candidate will be confident working with complex data and have a practical understanding of financial systems and processes.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Advanced Diploma or higher in Accounting, Asset Management, or Program Management.
  • Relevant experience and expertise in financial systems and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
