Full-time Cafe and Restaurant Manager Position

We are seeking a skilled Cafe and Restaurant Manager to join our team at Bella Vista Manly, a restaurant located within the heritage-listed North Fort Building at the picturesque North Head Sanctuary, offering majestic views of Sydney Harbour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Planning: Plan and organise restaurant events, parties, and functions to ensure seamless execution and exceptional customer experience.
  • Financial Management: Manage stock levels, record financial transactions, and maintain budgets to ensure efficient operations and cost control.
  • Operational Coordination: Coordinate daily front-of-house (FOH) or back-of-house (BOH) restaurant operations to ensure smooth service delivery and high-quality food presentation.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with Chefs to develop menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
  • Shift Management: Oversee the opening and closing shifts of the restaurant, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Customer Service: Assist wait staff in welcoming diners, taking orders, or serving food during peak hours, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Cost Management: Manage all costs in purchases, flag risk expenses in advance, and manage pricing to ensure they meet budget requirements.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a secure, healthy environment by enforcing sanitation standards and practices.
  • Staff Development: Train and develop new staff members, appraise staff performance, and provide feedback to improve their productivity.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and monitor restaurant staff during service, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to company standards.
Requirements:
  • Certification: At least a Certificate III or IV in Hospitality Management or any other managerial field.
  • Experience: 2 years of proven experience as a Cafe or Restaurant Manager.
  • Skills: Great communication skills, proactive attitude, excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and analytical vision.
Remuneration:

This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $70,000 - $80,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
