Group Sales Consultant Role

We are seeking an accomplished sales professional to join our team as a Group Sales Consultant. This key role involves efficiently processing group queries and requests with accuracy.


Key Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will utilize available information resources to effectively communicate the benefits of our products and services to customers.
  • They will provide expert advice on our products, policies, and fares to make it easier for group agents to sell our offerings.
  • Additionally, they will proactively identify opportunities for additional sales and encourage self-service using our Groups Sales site and Qantas.com.
  • They will independently assess and manage operational and commercial waiver requests within guidelines, ensuring all waiver requests are recorded.
  • Ultimately, the goal is to ensure departmental targets are met in relation to customer service and sales & revenue.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A sound working knowledge of a GDS Reservation system (Amadeus preferred) and knowledge of Groups Travel Sales.
  • Relevant qualifications such as HSC or equivalent and Fares & Ticketing I & II certifications, as well as Cert III or Cert IV in Tourism, are highly regarded.
  • Domestic and international travel experience, with the ability to navigate product policy and procedures.
  • Strong work ethics, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and impart knowledge to internal and external customers.
  • Proven experience in a customer service or similar role within travel.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers.
  • Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure to meet customer expectations.
