Comprehensive Mental Health Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive clinical mental health services to people with a mental illness or mental disorder.
The role will involve delivering least intrusive, collaborative, recovery oriented, nominated carer and family responsive and inclusive services that encourage self-advocacy, empowerment, and capacity for optimal independent function. We utilise evidence-based practice interventions to support our consumers and their families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Mental health assessments and interventions to consumers and their families.
- Collaborating meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.
- Working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007 and Mental Health Amendment (Statutory Review) Act 2014.
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.
- Computer competence and literacy.
- A current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing and including eligibility for membership of relevant professional body &/or full registration (if applicable) with AHPRA.
- Skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with mental illness.
