About the Role

The University of Wollongong is seeking a highly skilled Data Management Specialist to drive the implementation of a comprehensive data management project. As a key member of the Data and Analytics Division, you will be responsible for overseeing the setup and testing of data classification and data loss prevention systems, liaising with vendors, and coordinating incident responses with the cybersecurity team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver targeted training sessions and materials to ensure all staff understand their responsibilities for best practice data management.
  • Support the implementation of data cataloguing tools and ensure the accuracy of the Information Asset Register.
  • Facilitate the ongoing review and communication of the Data Management Framework.
Requirements
