Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our Grid Technology division, you will be responsible for managing engineering work packages and leading multidisciplinary teams on complex technical projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in high voltage transmission equipment and auxiliary systems. You will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

In this role, you will be accountable for delivering project scope to budget and schedule requirements. You will also coordinate between design, test, and manufacture functions to produce robust and reliable electrical designs and engineering packages.

You will report to a Technical Project Manager/Director and will be required to manage engineering work packages in line with project and business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the delivery of the 'Primary Equipment' project scope to budget and schedule requirements
  • Coordinate between all Primary design, test, and manufacture functions to produce robust and reliable electrical designs and engineering packages
  • Responsible for the preparation of offers and project management delivery of all project related primary and auxiliary electrical systems
  • Technical management of the transmission equipment offer/order processing team
  • Planning, monitoring, and controlling the offer/order processing including technical conception, delimitation of the scope of delivery, scheduling/resource planning, costing, calculation, quality control, and management of opportunities and risks
Requirements
  • University degree in electrical engineering or comparable discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of post-graduate professional experience in electrical engineering
  • Experience in project management and leadership roles
  • Technically knowledgeable and experienced in high voltage transmission equipment and auxiliary systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Business fluent English language skills
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or Registered Professional Engineers of Victoria (RPEV) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
