Position Overview
We are currently in search of a candidate for a joint appointment as Senior Academic (Level D) or Lead Educator (Level E) in Midwifery. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership in the evaluation of contemporary trends and evidence-based practices in midwifery, along with their implications for research, education, and practice.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Doctoral degree in midwifery or a related field, demonstrating expertise in modern midwifery education, research, and practice.
- Registration as a midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or the ability to obtain such registration.
- A strong passion for collaborative research and the ability to forge productive partnerships among clinicians, academics, and research students.
- A proven track record in securing competitive research funding and disseminating research findings.
Position Details
This is a full-time, fixed-term position spanning five years, with responsibilities divided equally between Griffith University and Gold Coast University Hospital. The role requires regular attendance at both locations.
Compensation Package
The salary for the Senior Academic (Level D) ranges from $159,740 to $175,985 annually, plus 17% employer superannuation, totaling between $186,895 and $205,902. For the Lead Educator (Level E), the base salary is $205,768 annually, with a total package of $240,748.
