Job Title: Senior Lecturer in Clinical Education

Griffith University's School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking a highly experienced and skilled academic leader to join our team as a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage curriculum and course requirements within the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program
  • Contribute to the teaching effort of the School of Medicine and Dentistry, with a focus on clinical education
  • Play a major leadership role in teaching, assessment, and curriculum development activities relevant to the MD program
  • Oversee Phase 3 of the MD program, including coordinating teaching and learning, assessment, and placement activities
  • Provide academic support for students undertaking Phase 3 of the program
  • Work closely with the Dean of Medicine and MD Program Director, Phase 1 and 2 Leads, and clinicians to ensure a high-quality student learning experience
  • Contribute to the development of the MD curriculum and assessment within their Phase
  • Engage with hospital-based Clinical Sub Deans and clinical teachers, community-based clinicians, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the delivery of a high-quality learning experience

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Proven expertise and experience in leading and managing curriculum and course requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with academic and clinical staff
  • Strong leadership and management skills
