Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee fleet compliance with relevant laws and internal guidelines.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for drivers and fleet users.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure safety and accountability.
  • Collaborate with teams to promote a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Support continuous improvement in fleet operations and training practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications or completed modules in training and assessment for verification of competency.
  • Experience in the heavy vehicle industry, particularly in Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and National Heavy Vehicle Law (NHVL).
  • Ability to develop theory and practical training packages.
  • Proven ability in assessing the competency of operational staff.
  • Strong organisational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to interpret legislation, regulations, standards, and codes of practice to ensure compliance and practical application.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General Construction Induction Card.
  • Heavy vehicle and/or plant operating experience.
  • Knowledge of local government functions, particularly in fleet management.
