Responsibilities:- Oversee compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
- Develop and deliver training programs for drivers and fleet users.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with teams to promote a culture of safety and accountability.
- Support continuous improvement in fleet operations and training practices.
- Relevant qualifications or completed modules in training and assessment for verification of competency.
- Experience in the heavy vehicle industry, particularly in chain of responsibility (CoR) and national heavy vehicle law (NHVL).
- Ability to develop theory and practical training packages.
- Proven ability to assess the competency of operational staff.
- Strong organisational, written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interpret legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice to ensure compliance and practical application.
- General construction induction card.
- Heavy vehicle and/or plant operating experience.
- Knowledge of local government functions, particularly in fleet management.
