A dedicated not-for-profit organisation seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Chief Financial Reporting Officer to join the team and support their mission by ensuring the accuracy of financial operations.

Salary$110-120k + Super, reflecting the organisation's commitment to attracting and retaining top talent in the industry.
Job DescriptionWe're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Reporting Officer to lead our financial reporting and analysis efforts. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Timely and accurate preparation of monthly management reports and month-end close
- Analysis and interpretation of monthly variances, identifying trends and areas for improvement
- Monitoring of budgeted vs. actual expenditure, ensuring financial sustainability and optimal resource allocation
You will also be responsible for:
- Accounting and Reconciliation
- AP, AR, payroll & Bank Reconciliation processing, maintaining accurate financial records and resolving any discrepancies
- Prepare and submit BAS on a timely basis, ensuring compliance with tax regulations
Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support, contributing to the organisation's overall success.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- CA/CPA qualification or working towards it
- Demonstrated experience with complex financial reporting and analysis, showcasing your expertise in navigating financial data and driving informed decision-making
- Sound knowledge of Australian accounting standards, ensuring compliance and regulatory adherence
- NFP or education experience a bonus, demonstrating your passion for the sector and ability to adapt to its unique challenges
