Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Chemist to join our team on a fixed-term 12 month basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in commercial laboratory settings.
Key Responsibilities- Ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with quality procedures.
- Supervising and training laboratory staff.
- Prioritizing daily workload.
- Operating and maintaining instrumentation.
- Reporting results according to quality work instructions.
- Maintaining compliance with laboratory's QC and HSE requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication and organizational skills.
- At least 2 years' experience in a commercial laboratory.
- Previous experience operating GC/FID, GCMS or LCMSMS required.
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent (Honours and Chemistry disciplines advantageous).
- Competent in Microsoft Office.
- A working knowledge of organic sample preparation techniques.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
