Job OverviewAs a Motor Mechanic at Carselling.com PTY LTD, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every vehicle we service meets the highest standards of safety and reliability. You'll be responsible for performing detailed mechanical inspections, diagnosing issues, and carrying out repairs and maintenance work.
Key Responsibilities:- Repair and Maintenance: Repair or replace broken, worn, or dysfunctional parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and test and reassemble components.
- Basic Care and Maintenance: Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires.
- Electrical Systems: Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.
- Customer Service: Deal with customers on a day-to-day basis and perform duties in a timely and accurate manner.
- Vehicle Diagnostics: Diagnose, service, and repair a variety of different brands of vehicles in compliance with manufacturer's guidelines and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Brake and Alignment: Re-line and adjust brakes and perform wheel alignments.
- Testing and Quality Control: Test and re-adjust to ensure repairs and maintenance are effective using testing equipment prior to hand over to client.
- Inspections and Diagnostics: Inspect mechanisms of engine, transmissions, steering, or other components including dismantling and reassembling of engine parts.
- Estimation and Reporting: Provide accurate estimates of cost, time, effort for a repair or maintenance job.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
- Vehicle Inspections: Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components such as transmissions, suspensions, steering, brakes etc. to diagnose issues accurately.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic is required.
- Qualifications: A minimum qualification of Certificate III or Certificate IV is required.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components, ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical issues, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Certifications and Qualifications: Relevant certifications and qualifications in motor mechanics.
- Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
$70,000 -80,000 per annum plus Superannuation
