KPMG's Accelerated Business Growth team is seeking a highly skilled professional to help Australian companies grow their business in Australia and international markets. As an Accelerated Business Growth Specialist, you will work closely with our diverse and multidisciplinary team to assess clients' international readiness, access government incentives, and provide practical export trade and foreign investment advice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the delivery of R&D Tax Incentive and Grant engagements
  • Identifying new ways for clients to accelerate their research, innovation, and commercialization goals
  • Acting as a performance development manager to a growing team and mentoring them on their professional journey
  • Working with other KPMG professionals to assist clients with other matters, including IP, structuring, finance, and tax
  • Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities in the local market
  • Managing complex projects and delivering client engagements on time and within budget

Requirements:

  • Engineering, science, business, law, or commerce-related qualifications with a key interest in technology and innovation
  • Deep level of expertise in R&D Tax, minimum 3 years of experience in professional services or in a university or other research environment
  • Prior experience reviewing technical information, matching facts to the legislative eligibility requirements of the R&D Tax Incentive and other programs, and preparing technical reports
  • Previous experience reviewing cost reports and other expenditure sources to analyze eligibility of qualifying R&D expenditure incurred
  • Previous Advisory Consulting skills - working with R&D project managers, CIOs, CFOs, Tax Managers, and other specialists to obtain information required
