We are seeking a skilled Machining Supervisor to take charge of our workshop operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role with a leading engineering and manufacturing company.

About the Role

As our Machining Supervisor, you will oversee daily workshop operations across borers, lathes, drills, and mills – ensuring projects are delivered on time, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. You will also play a key role in mentoring your team, building capability, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and advice to Machinists.
  • Plan, allocate, and oversee daily machining activities.
  • Manage materials, stock, and workflow to meet project deadlines.
  • Build and support a strong leading hand structure within the team.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to position us as industry leaders.
  • Deliver training and upskilling programs to develop employee capability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Australian-recognised Machining Trade qualification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of machining tooling and systems.
  • Heidenhain and Fanuc control experience.
  • Forklift Licence.
  • Dogman / Rigger Basic (desirable).
  • Certificate IV in Leadership & Management (desirable).
  • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Solid understanding of quality and safety management systems.
