Clinical Nurse Educator

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is a key member of the Rehabilitation, Aged and Community Services (RACS) team within Canberra Health Services. As a CNE, you will be responsible for providing expert educational leadership and management to the nursing team and a small team of Community Development Nurses (CDNs).
The CNE will develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate timely and appropriate education. This includes promoting, incorporating, and maintaining the National Safety and Quality Health Standards at an educational level.
As a CNE, you will work collaboratively with the RACS team to support the professional development of the nursing workforce. This includes maintaining accountability for your own practice standards and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert educational leadership and management to the nursing team and CDNs.
- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate timely and appropriate education to promote, incorporate, and maintain the National Safety and Quality Health Standards.
- Support the professional development of the nursing workforce.
- Maintain accountability for your own practice standards and education.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse Level 3 qualification.
- Experience in a clinical or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Standards.
